*Position is preferred to be based in Holly Springs, but Seqirus is open to Cambridge, MA or Summit, NJ.*
Responsible for the management, control and payment of US exempt and non-exempt, Canada and Argentina payrolls ensuring all payrolls are processed in accordance with set deadlines. Payrolls need to be verified and processed accurately. The role will lead the coordination of activities within Seqirus's payroll (ADP), HRIS (Workday) and time management (EE Time) systems.
Accountability Description
1.
Manage and process the bi-weekly domestic US payrolls processes per policies and procedures to include garnishments, special pays, retroactive payments, and benefit deductions
Manage and process the bi monthly Canadian and monthly Argentina payrolls
Ensure payrolls are processed in an accurate and timely manner to meet deadlines
Ensure timesheets for the US non-exempt population are complete and approved prior to processing
Ensure payrolls are approved by management prior to commit

Oversee and ensure compliance with federal, state, local and international employment law as well as timely payments to these agencies
Maintain knowledge of current and new regulations and reporting requirements and plan system changes for compliance
Prepare and reconcile year end documentation and ensure all year-end filings are submitted and completed
Prepare and reconcile all monthly statutory taxes and social insurances along with any pension reconciliations
3.
Responsible for payroll liabilities by entering federal and state income and social security tax information, 401k transfer and direct deposits, wage assignments and garnishments.
Responsible to fulfilling wage garnishment requirements by completing forms; adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings; negotiating with collection agencies to convert garnishments to wage assignments.
Responsible for gathering Canada and Argentina disbursements, wage changes, form completions and payments to third parties

Responsible for payroll financial standards by providing monitoring accounting journals and costs, identifying variances; implementing corrective actions
Balances payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies
Responsible for Payroll account reconciliations and variance explanations related to salary and wages
Duties may include auditing and reconciling bank statements, clearing payroll accounts and maintaining payroll general ledger accounts
5.
Implement KPIs to record accuracy of payrolls
Adhere to SLAs set by management
Provide month statistics for the global payroll issue log
Prepare and document comprehensive payroll procedures and assist with the preparation of short and long-term payroll strategies and policies
Responsible for International Assignees into and out of US, Canada and Argentina
Responsible for all time-management system and time clock (ETime) administration
Responsible for gathering of PTO for Canada and Argentina
Maintaining Share/Stock/ EDIP Plan Schemes- by maintaining deduction records; completing forms; initiating deductions
Work with Human Resources, Rewards and Finance to identify and implement process improvements to streamline transactions and improve controls
Partner with European Payroll Specialists to review and approve European Payrolls as required
Perform assigned duties in the absence of Global Payroll Manager
Perform other duties assigned to include but not limited to; participating in projects, review of best practices for disbursements to improve efficiency and internal controls, management and reporting of eligible salaries for stock grants, and development and implementation of exception and regulatory reporting for payroll
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
What critical knowledge, competencies (as well as professional certifications and licenses) are needed to successfully perform this position (e.g., PC/technology skills, sales experience, demonstrated leadership, specific educational requirement or technical training, etc.)?
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and 8+ years of in-depth work experience overseeing complex domestic payrolls (US experience required; Canada and / or Argentina experience preferred)
• Proven ability to drive change to improve payroll compliance
• Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment; Working knowledge of various software, applications, and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and automated accounting systems.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Payroll system
• Experience with ADP EE Time preferred
• Experience with managing multiple payroll interfaces; specifically, Workday and Fidelity preferred
