Sleep Tech

This job is located in Rhinebeck, NY.

As a Sleep Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the assessment, monitoring, and diagnosis of sleep disorders in patients. You will be responsible for conducting overnight polysomnography studies, ensuring accurate data collection, and providing expert care to patients with various sleep-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and prepare sleep monitoring equipment for overnight studies, ensuring proper placement of electrodes, sensors, and other monitoring devices.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical history, explaining the procedure, and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Monitor and observe patients during sleep studies, recording data related to sleep stages, respiratory events, cardiac activity, and other parameters.
• Troubleshoot and address any technical issues with monitoring equipment to ensure uninterrupted data collection.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to analyze sleep study results and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
• Provide patient education on sleep hygiene, lifestyle modifications, and any recommended interventions or therapies.

Qualifications:

• RPSGT certification is required.
• NY State licensure as a Sleep Technologist (RT/CRT candidates must have RPSGT certification).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sleep Technologist.
• Proficiency in conducting overnight polysomnography studies and interpreting sleep study data.
• Strong technical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintaining sleep monitoring equipment.
• Effective communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
