CT Tech - Radiology and Cardiology
This position is located in Providence, RI
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our medical imaging team. As a CT Tech, you will play a crucial role in performing high-quality CT scans for accurate diagnoses. Your expertise in operating CT equipment and your commitment to patient care will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional medical imaging services.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during the CT scan, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns.
- Position patients accurately for optimal image quality, adhering to proper radiation safety protocols.
- Administer contrast agents as necessary for enhanced imaging, following established guidelines.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate image acquisition.
- Evaluate images for quality and clarity, identifying any artifacts or inconsistencies.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient information, procedures performed, and contrast usage.
- Calibrate and maintain CT equipment to ensure proper functionality and image quality.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist in patient transportation and transfer as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Qualifications:
- Valid CT Technologist certification or registration.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
- BLS certification required.
- Proficient in operating CT equipment and associated software.
- Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and protocols.
