Estimating Coordinator

Position: Estimating Coordinator

Functional Overview

Reporting to the Manager of our quoting/estimating department, the candidate will be responsible for interfacing with our highly motivated sales representatives, and other employees in functional areas such as purchasing, logistics and operations. Duties include but are not limited to high support to the sales team assigned in terms of job quotation, follow ups, status monitoring, and troubleshooting on sales leads including organizational support for the assigned region.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Tracking of leads for sales and architectural team within assigned region.
• Sending out appropriate leads to architectural and sales team for assigned territory.
• Daily support with incoming quote requests through email and calls.
• Work closely with sales representative(s), architectural rep(s) and internal estimating team.
• Support with submittals and request for substitutions.  
• Preparation of Materials for Sales Meetings and sales submittals for bids.
• Other assignments as required.
• Sending bid projects, specs, and technical documents to team or customers.
• Quote follow-up
• Project follow-up
• Assisting with updating and closing quotes within our Infor system.
• Acting as point of contact for incoming leads in the assigned territory.
• Maintaining communication on leads and quotes. 

Minimum Qualification:

• Strong analytic abilities.
• Understanding construction documents is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate and work independently.
• Prior customer service experience in a manufacturing or construction environment is a plus.
• Experience on building products is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience with Submittals and RFI’s is a plus.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent time management proficiency.
• Microsoft office expertise (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is a must.
• Team player with strong people skills.
• Positive attitude and excellent worth ethic, integrity and self-motivation.
