The facilities manager is responsible for ensuring the Packaging Systems building and site meet the day-to-day needs of the manufacturing and office staff. Specific responsibilities may include:
Basic inspection and repair of electrical, plumbing or infrastructure issues at a 70,000 sqft manufacturing facility and off-site warehouse.
Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors as needed.
Performing routine building and grounds maintenance when possible.
Conducting and documenting facilities inspections.
Managing external vendors working on upgrades to offices, security systems, machine shop and manufacturing floor space.
Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of the office space, machine shop and manufacturing shop floor.
Collaborating with management on budgeting for facilities needs.
Requirements:
Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems.
Proficiency with basic repair tools.
Excellent communication skills.
Personal time management and the ability to work with minimal oversight and direction.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. •
