Target Salary: $110,000 to $130,000 per year
Seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator with hardware and software experience to join our client's team as a Deployment Engineer. The Deployment Engineer will be responsible for installing and upgrading a complex hardware and software system used by enterprise companies across the globe.
This is an Atlanta-based opportunity, requiring 2 days per week in-office, and occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
This role is accountable for:- Ensuring Platform Delivery is completed to 100% for each customer
- Ensure individual customers are prepared and ready for each platform deployment
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure customers get maximum value
- Ensure customer expectations are exceeded during the Platform deployment process
Required Skills:- Experience as a Linux Systems Administrator
- Experience with both hardware and software
- Linux command line experience
- Docker containerization experience strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Customer support or customer-facing experience
Preferred skills and experience include:- Ansible and Jira
- AWS
- Experience installing and supporting proprietary software systems in complex customer environments
- Experience with issue resolution, troubleshooting, and identifying root cause in complex software systems
- Experience working with distributed deployments of custom-built, on-prem software which integrates with cloud service providers
- Prior experience working in a start-up or fast-paced environment
Position Responsibilities:As a Deployment Engineer, you'll perform remote or in-person installations and troubleshooting of complex hardware and software systems. You will be one of the customer-facing technical experts that can ensure customer satisfaction throughout the installation and deployment process. This role will involve occasional travel, including the possibility of some international travel. Job responsibilities include the following:- Install software products into complex customer environments and on a range of hardware platforms.
- Apply strong system management skills to identify and resolve customer issues.
- Work with customers to Client their target environments, their customization and configuration needs.
- Work cross-functionally with product, customer support, and customer success teams to ensure our customers have the best installation experience.
- Install and troubleshoot software and help customers solve problems relating to the deployment of the systems.
- Participate in retrospectives to improve the process, product, and skills.
- Verify the product is working as intended within the customers' environment.
- Share feedback from the installation with our Product and Engineering teams to improve the experience for internal teams and customer teams.
- Travel to customer sites to perform in-person installations and troubleshooting.
- To tell us when a process isn't working or can be improved, and then help improve it.
