Senior Project Manager

Woodward Design + Build is a regional leader in the design and construction community, with an office culture that encourages innovation and offers challenging career opportunities. We are looking for a talented Senior Project Manager candidate to assist in the areas of construction management work including, but not limited to procurement and buy-out scheduling, document control, change management, and supervision. The successful candidate will work closely with our Project Executives and Supervisors. The Senior Project Manager will establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Sub-contractors, and Suppliers. Below are the qualifications we are looking for:

·        The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the proper management and control of the total scope of services as defined in each project’s contract documents.

·        Understands contract language and master subcontracts. In addition, must manage larger and more complex projects with larger teams.

·        The Senior Project Manager will negotiate, award, and prepare subcontracts, contract purchase orders, change orders, and change order requests.

·        Can identify possible long lead issues far in advance and initiate solutions.

·        Takes on more mentoring responsibility, learning how to lead and influence outcomes and performance

·        Develop and train personnel assigned to the Senior Project Manager (Project Manager and/or Assistant Project Manager)

·        The Senior Project Manager manages the use of all operation tools to include the internal budget, contingency log, baseline schedule, change order management, risk log, and monthly invoices.

·        Review and monitor all construction phase documents for conformance with the budget and schedule. Create and maintain pertinent project manager logs

·        Work with the Project Superintendent to create and regularly update a detailed construction schedule

·        Ensure that submittal data is in conformance with the project documents

·        Manage the Request for Information process

·        The Senior Project Manager conducts weekly on-site job meetings with documented meeting minutes.

·        Monitor and enforce Woodward’s safety program.

·        Fundamental knowledge of computer operations and the following applications: Procore, Microsoft Project or P6 scheduler, Microsoft Office 360 Apps, and Bluebeam

·        Promote the growth and development of client, subcontractor, and Woodward relationships

·        Ability to perform job duties by following Woodward’s core values (Reliability, Courage, Teamwork, Determination, and Humility)

·        Health Care experience preferred.
