Project Manager

The role you will play:
• Lead effort to develop scope, cost and schedule for project work at the various plant sites. Establish scope, cost, schedule and safety outcomes in compliance with the company standards and associated sponsor's objectives and ensure that these are communicated as appropriate.
• Establish clear sponsors objectives tied to the requirements of the project.
• Seek the appropriate experience of company subject matter experts to facilitate decision making and close out technical issues to progress the project.
• Have the knowledge, skills and experience to seek out and deploy the appropriate knowledge processes to ensure the quality of deliverables produced for the phase.
• Establish system to measure and control project progress against schedule and cost, with the schedule including a successful first time startup of the projects.
• Facilitate input from the site team through regular communications, team meetings, and interactions that encourage participation throughout the project. • Ensure site input is evaluated along with contractor knowledge in the development of engineering deliverables that will reside at the site
• Develop project resource plans to support the best practices and provide timely communication of gaps to the project sponsor and owner. Engage Engineering leadership as needed to fill the gaps.

Background Profile:
• 10 years of experience in projects, project engineering or project management
• Engineering degree
• SAP experience is not required but a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Desire to be an effective leader
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite
• Project experience in industrial facilities, chemical or refining
