- Day Travel; deploy from home in West Central Texas to cover West Central Texas
THE POSITION:This position is for a customer installer, providing onsite support for a Wireless Internet Service Provider. The primary responsibility is to install Internet at customer locations. The secondary responsibility is to provide onsite support/repair whenever a client has a problem with the Internet that cannot be resolved over the phone or online.
Customer locations will predominantly be consumer locations, including homes and apartments. There will also be business locations. In each case, the job is to connect the location to a tower via radio, bring an Internet connection into a suitable inside location, and connect it to a router. For consumers, the router will be provided by the company.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:- Ideally, this person has 1-2 years of experience at an ISP, Dish, or similar.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English. Good verbal communication is essential.
- Bilingual is a plus but not required.
- Already be proficient at bringing an Ethernet connection from outside to inside a home or office.
- Be able to work with efficiency and in a timely manner.
- Be resourceful in troubleshooting and solving problems before escalating issues.
- Be self-sufficient.
- Be able to pass a background check.
- Have a high school diploma.
- Have a valid driver's license.
