Title: Security / Access Controls Installation Technician
Location: Greater Colorado area
Duration: 3 months contract to hire
Compensation: $25 per hour and up
Security / Access Controls Installation TechnicianInstallation Technician will be responsible for the installation of cable pathway systems, firestop systems, and various cable that includes but is not limited to: twisted pair cable, fiber optic, coax, as well as other low voltage cable. Cable installation includes: placement, termination, testing, labeling and documentation.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:The team member will be responsible for installing, testing, and troubleshooting security and access control products from a variety of manufacturers. The technician must function as a team member and successfully interface with the customer to install cables and related parts or equipment.
- Install cable under floors, in walls, in doors, and in ceiling.
- Place drops using stiffy rod, fish tape, or other method.
- Meet standards for installation which include precisely: organizing, forming, removing slack, dressing, labeling cables, terminating, and testing cables.
- Build out Telecommunication closets including installing grounding, equipment and cable as required.
- Properly install fire-stopping in fire walls, floors and ceiling penetrations.
- Read, interpret, and follow prints and drawings properly.
- Fully complete all paperwork accurately and on time (plans, quotes, time-sheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, toolbox talks, vehicle inspection reports and others as required).
- Adhere to all Company, customer and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
Additional Security / Access Controls experience that will be benefitial to have or you will be trained in:
Door hardware/ maglocks /door strikes / Crash bars/ NVR CCTV cameras
Familiar with Security/Access Control hardware, wiring, and concepts
Experience with any of the following manufactures of equipment: Hirsch/Identiv, S2, Gallagher, Bosch, etc.)
