SUMMARY
The digital content team at AccuWeather is seeking an Audience Engagement Specialist to develop distribution strategies that extend the reach and amplification of content via web and app push notifications, in-app messaging, SEO and other avenues. The Audience Engagement Specialist is joining an expanding Digital Content, Audience Development team and will collaborate extensively with their analytics, editorial and meteorology counterparts. Using analytics, research and insights, the Audience Engagement Specialist will work closely with Editorial, Meteorology and Forecasting teams to strategize, craft and publish messaging, as well as online articles, to ensure timely execution and delivery of notifications.
This successful candidate will be responsible for using online push notification and publishing tools to further increase web & mobile app traffic and user engagement, as well as use critical and analytical thinking that supports push notification strategy.
The Audience Engagement Specialist has a solid understanding of the digital media landscape and brings an analytical and creative approach. This person is skilled in creative writing and has an eye for design, making sure content is engaging and visually appealing.
The position is based and on-site in State College, PA.
