Requirements
Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, criminology, social work, sociology, and/or psychology; two years’ experience working in adult parole and probation; a strong understanding of the court system; English fluency; ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships with public, coworkers, and clients; accuracy and attention to detail; supervisory skills sufficient to oversee a functional unit; demonstrated experience setting schedules and meeting deadlines; computer literacy; and training within defensive tactics, Tasers, OC, firearms, mental health, first aid, Naloxone/Narcan, drug and alcohol dependency, DNA retrieval, and successful completion of basic training academy. Hires must be able to be certified to operate JNET, CLEAN, NCIC databases.
