Senior Professional Test EngineerLocation: Remote Diversified Systems is searching for a Senior Professional Test Engineer who, under the direction of the Test Manager, tester engineers work with the project team to develop the test cases necessary to ensure the requirements of the system are met. They are required to understand the business environment, the technical context and the conformance criteria to support successful test gate entry and exit. These individuals have the analytical skills to design test cases to ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.
Your role in our mission:
• Interact with the project team to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context and conformance criteria.
• Apply analytical skills in the design of test cases.
• Utilize the appropriate testing methodology to analyze testing requirements and design.
• Execute test cases to ensure that the testing environment has been set up correctly.
• Participate in the analysis of results and the defect management and resolution process.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to review test results and obtain documented approval for production implementation.
What we're looking for (top 5 only):
1. Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of related experience or a Master's degree and up to two years of experience.
2. 5+ years of experience in delivering testing services for various project size.
3. Proficient in executing test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures, as well as testing system modifications to prepare for implementation.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills.
5. Experience testing software from an end user's perspective.
6. Knowledgeable in requirements, design specifications, and testing strategy to: perform ambiguity analysis, perform risk analysis, establish testing priorities and scope, develop testing strategy, review testing strategy, validate requirements and specifications, develop test plans, review test plan, develop test scenarios, select test design techniques and develop testing metrics collection plan in order to plan and prepare for testing.
7. Proficient in testing analysis and design, functional and performance models, and test specifications to: develop functional models for testing, develop performance models for testing, evaluate and validate test cases and scripts, validate functional models for testing, validate performance models for testing, develop test specifications, validate test specifications, validate testing coverage, escalate quality issues for resolution, evaluate test automation tools and validate testing environment in order to develop test specifications.
8. Proficient in testing processes and tools to: execute test cases and scripts, analyze test results, report on testing progress and results, facilitate defect resolution and document final test results in order to execute testing engagement.
9. Proficient in testing processes and testing metrics to: review test summary report, provide testing project feedback and archive testing assets in order to verify completion of testing.
Recommended Additional Skills/Experience:
• Experience with SQL and data analysis testing.
• Healthcare knowledge
• Experience in developing system testing programs that address database impacts, software scenarios, or usability is a plus.
