2nd Shift - 3pm - 11pm
General Responsibilities
MES Shop Technicians needs to have good interpersonal skills, good sense of urgency, and some basic computer skills to be able to accomplish the basic requirements of the job.
For the general day to day requirements of the job we request that they walk around the shop floor and make themselves available for questions/issues/concerns, ask people if they have logged in/clocked on, and if they've had any problems.
They need to have the potential to learn the new Brilliant Manufacturing Suite tool quickly and be able to help teach/train other operators as needed.
Have a positive attitude about the new system and vouchering, encourage people to suggest enhancements and better ways to use the system and log these suggestion (or assist the operator in logging these suggestions) in Client Forms.
Troubleshoot system and IT issues for users on the floor (if they are unable to resolve, log issues/helpdesk cases as appropriate), and follow up on cases to ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner.
Monitor the Kronos punch vs Client labor vouchering (via WIP clocked on operators) and follow-up with operators who are not clocked on to understand why. Follow up with operators who are logged into the default INDIRECT job and encourage them to log into a DIRECT or non-default INDIRECT.
Periodically monitor system related equipment such as Kronos clocks, scanners, printers, etc. for broken parts and wear/tear and notify Functional team if repairs or replacements are needed.
Aide operators in remembering their Client password and/or helping them to log an issue to have it reset for them if they forget. •
