In this role you will handle incoming calls from customers, agents, and policyholders related to insurance applications or existing policies. You will work in a collaborative environment providing administrative support for the Underwriting department.Hours of operation are Monday to Friday with a rotating schedule of 8:00 am - 6:00 pm All employees in Personal Lines whose essential job function includes but is not limited to direct communication with customers and/or agents, must hold a valid Resident State Insurance license and be able to obtain and maintain reciprocal licensing for all 50 states within the continental United States.
Responsibilities- Provides excellent customer service to agents and policyholders in a moderate to high-volume call center environment
- Processes corrections or adjusts records when needed, following the appropriate company guidelines
- Reviews, organizes, and forwards information to be escalated for resolution as needed
- Adheres to the established productivity and quality metrics established
- Other tasks and projects as may be assigned
- In this role, you may be required to work extended hours and weekends to support business operations during a catastrophe, such as a hurricane affecting Safepoint’s policyholders
Essential Functions- Use telephone and computer systems to communicate with and service customers
- Use computer system to research information on risks
- Ability to take at least 50 phone calls per day
- Ability to adhere to regular attendance schedule on-site
- Ability to obtain and maintain resident Property & Casualty insurance licensing through the Florida DFS, and reciprocal licenses in all 50 states in the continental United States
Qualifications- Min 1 year of Property & Casualty Insurance experience
- Property and Casualty Insurance licenses required (4-40 or 20-44)
- Passion for customer service
- Advanced computer skills and insurance systems knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required
- English - Spanish Bilingual skills is a plus
- Demonstrated customer service focus required
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interact on a professional level with internal and external personnel and partners
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Results driven with strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
