TITLE: QA Manager

We are looking for a QA Manager to oversee and enforce all quality assurance, food safety, and sanitation programs to guarantee the quality, safety, and integrity of all the company's products. Create, oversee, and implement processes that make certain of government compliance and client contentment. Act as a go-between for the company and government regulators. Work through and enforce the creation of the SQF (Safe Quality Food) system for the plants. Aid in improving and overseeing the SQF system companywide. Oversee the QA Tech.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Execution and upkeeping of the SQF program.
Record, oversee, and upkeep all USDA mandatory food safety programs, including but not limited to SSOP's, product hold, HACCP, Listeria Testing Protocol, etc.
Make certain that thorough, well-communicated, and timely product recall practices are carried out.
Supervise product sample testing.
Direct HACCP verification tasks.
Make certain that microbiological records and testing are conducted and supported to uphold our HACCP program and government requirements.
Return product assessment and disposal.
Ensure correct labeling and any external or internal correspondents are in adherence with all nutritional and USDA labeling.
Responsible for all costs in reporting areas.
Give technical services advice on new product development and all product quality issues.
Oversee all paperwork and records necessary in relation to any sanitation and cleaning chemicals.
Aid and enforce SSOP/HACCP programs and plans.
Oversee QA Technicians.
Fulfilment and upkeep of the Organic Certification program.
Foster a positive working partnership with the USDA and other agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or a related field.
At least 5+ years of experience in QA supervision in a USDA facility.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
SQF and HACCP Practitioner certification is preferred.
