CANDIDATES MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH A COMMONWEALTH CATEGORY 1 OR 2 PROJECT. IF THEY DO NOT HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE, DO NOT SUBMIT!!!
A project manager is needed to manage a major project that will upgrade the VSP in car camera system and cloud-based evidence solution. . The project manager is responsible for managing the project Product, schedule and budget and reporting to VSP Communications management on a weekly basis. The project manager will oversee the vendor efforts on the design, development, and implementation of the system and will coordinate with Communications Division and business unit staff as needed. The project manager will be responsible for the identification, analysis, tracking and recommending appropriate actions to project issues including those that are technology related. They will also be responsible for the identification and management of project risks. In general, the project manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of the assigned projects.
The project manager must-have: -an existing and up to date COV Project Management Qualification -at least 4,500 hours of successful project management experience as a Project Manager on multiple Commonwealth-level IT projects, or multiple ***M + other-than-Commonwealth projects.
Highly desirable qualifications are: - Experience managing wireless communications projects - Experience managing Telecommunications projects - Experience managing wide area installation projects (statewide preferred)- - Experience with complex multi-layer scheduling - Experience managing ***M+ projects
They must be able to communicate both orally and in writing, and to work with multiple stakeholders and facilitate collaboration between vendor and Communications Division management. •
