TITLE: Tax Accounting Supervisor
TYPE: Direct Hire
LOCATION: 100% Remote HQ is outside of Philadelphia
START DATE: January 2024
SHIFT: Flexible, Monday-Friday

We are looking for a public-facing tax accounting supervisor with 2+ years of Public Accounting experience. This growth opportunity will allow you to get in early with a rapidly expanding company with a proven business model. Those without previous management experience who have the required skill set are encouraged to apply.

30 to 35 hour work week during non-busy season
Max 65-hour work week during tax season
100% remote work forever
Core hours are 9am-2pm EST, M-F. Other than that, you will have a ton of flexibility with your schedule.
Gain managerial experience by training and mentoring one Jr. Staff Accountant.
Variable compensation is offered for clients that you bring in.
CPA is preferred but if you don't have it yet, we'll pay for you to take the test, for your software, and for your CE credits.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Run client engagements from start to finish assisting them with all their tax needs.
Perform a variety of tax-related duties such as filing tax returns, studying tax laws, and overseeing financial reviews.
Effectively manage multiple engagements at the same time.
Build strong and lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
Respond to IRS inquiries.
Supervise, mentor, train, and coach junior-level staff.
Work independently with a good amount of autonomy

QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor's degree in accounting is required. Masters in Tax Administration and a CPA are preferred.
2+ years of public accounting experience working in Tax.
Ability to be customer-facing.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to be coachable and humble while learning from your mistakes.
