Our Client has an exciting opportunity for a Loan Process Specialist located in Arroyo Grande, CA! The Loan Process Specialist is responsible for performing a wide variety of loan fulfillment tasks related to loan administration and/or processing, from minor to complex processes or functions. Takes accountability for entire process from receipt of work to resolution and closure. Tasks require coordination of information among various operational areas and customers.
Responsibilities will include and are not limited to the following:
- Receiving and reviewing incoming work, contacting appropriate resources as needed, entering transactions, verifying accuracy, preparing, editing, distributing, and/or correcting specialized and/or complex documents
- Accurate completion of assigned data entry to various bank systems for the completion of the job function
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external clients
- Identifies and resolves issues within the assigned scope
- Attends and participates in meetings as required
- Organizes and completes work accurately in accordance with established measures/deadlines and assigned goals
- Review and acceptance of insurance policy, confirm coverage, deductibles, policy terms and conditions meet bank criteria based on credit approval insurance requirements
- Monitor third party vendor; manage weekly and monthly reporting; status, exceptions, and purchase/cancellations
- Ensure the purchase of lender place coverage is performed by vendor according to requirements
- Oversee billing coding, reconciliation, invoice payment and escrow disbursement on policy payments accordingly
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Your Profile:
The successful candidate will possess the following:- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 5 years work experience in loan processing of a financial institution or knowledgeable in bank operations and regulations
- Ability to analyze insurance policies
- Ability to understand and analyze appraisal reports and credit approval for various types of loan transactions
- Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software programs required
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook, Internet, Metavante- FIS (or similar system)
- Possess excellent human relations, communications, and business writing skills
- Ability to work effectively without direct supervision
- Ability to comprehend and interpret Bank policies and procedures
- Possess effective time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrates teamwork in facilitating workflow. High level of cooperation with others and is responsive to the Bank's needs
