- Will be running checks through deposit machine
- Will be using Excel to run checks through loan system
Description: - The Cash Associate position encompasses numerous functions in the Cash and Banking Operations area.
- This position facilitates cash flow by contributing to the processing of automated and manual customer payments.
- The position verifies and accurately posts manual customer payments the same day as received and deposits payments into the appropriate bank account dependent on product and entity.
- The position keys returned loan, dues, and down payments as well as adjustments and file exceptions to owner accounts.
- Additionally, the position responds to credit card charge backs received monthly within standard and researches and responds to internal customer inquiries, including escalated inquiries that require immediate attention and resolution.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Process all manual payments and payment files daily to include batching, coding, scanning, keying, and depositing
Research, analyze, and respond to all chargeback items and inquires within Visa/Client, Client and Client time frames to prevent loss potential
Process all daily adjustments to owner accounts and proactively take steps to prevent similar issues
Process all returned payments and file exceptions daily
Research, resolve, and respond to internal customer inquiries in a timely manner, including escalated issues that require immediate attention
Support ACH bank desk by initiating or approving ACH transfers between various bank websites
Performs other duties as assigned
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge and skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detailed, accurate and thorough
Ability to adapt to changes and a demanding work environment
Must possess time management and organizational skills
Responsive to internal customer requests
Meet or exceed deadlines
Technical Skills: Intermediate skills in Excel preferred
Basic computer skills required in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Job experience: 1-2 years Cash or Banking experience
