This position requires above all else, exceptional communication skills both verbal and via e-mail. Must be able to talk with staff and switch gears to talk with Sr. Executives. Able to articulate process and procedures to all levels. Technical skills fall further down the line as far as importance- they can train on what they need. Video calls are used to make sure they make a very good presentation
Excel and Access are strongly desired.

Global Consumer Bank – Data Lineage Business Analyst
Description
Global Consumer Bank is working on an effort where data is being traced from key reports to the source. This role is fundamental in identifying and documenting all of the "hops” the data goes through before it is included in a report.
This position will report into the Data Standards Leader for Global Consumer Bank. This position will work closely with the Commercial Risk group, Data Services Group, Information Technology, and the business in all of the countries where Client Commercial Bank has a footprint.
This leadership role will take a single field in a report and trace it from person to person and tool to tool until the source of the data is uncovered.
This position will have direct ownership of communicating with End User Computing tool (MS Excel and MS Access Db) owners and documenting the findings of those conversations in a clear and concise manner. Results will need to be fed back to the business, risk and control groups so that strategic solutions can be identified. This role will help build and manage a traceability and lineage of Global Consumer Bank and Commercial Bank data. Upon completion of the data lineage this role would work with the Data Standards Leader to determine a straight through data flow solution and work with the business and other key stakeholders to drive the automation of the data sourcing.
Qualifications
Direct experience in business analysis on highly complex projects.
Direct experience with data linage and data tracing a plus.
Strong track record of developing and maintaining relationships with the business, analytics, technology, control, compliance and related stakeholders and subject matter experts to present and respond to metrics and participate in discussions with regard to the identification, design, and development of relevant processes, metrics, controls and communication materials.
This position will be responsible for owning and managing the end-to-end process for data tracing and data sourcing of the key reports.
This position will have direct experience working with multiple LOBs, departments or functions to drive a common agenda
Qualifications include:
• Conducting data tracing through multiple people, workbooks, access databases and queries.
• Must be able to read excel formulas and MS Access code. SQL a plus
• BS/MBA from a renown institution in Information Technology or Business related fields.
• Curiosity in understanding and improving business processes and efficiencies.
• Enjoys highly complex projects, with large amount of minutia. Is able to absorb the granular details and communicate it at an executive level.
• Prior experience in management reporting, data modeling, a plus.
• Candidates are required to have the ability to translate and articulate technical thoughts and ideas and have Fundamental understanding of data.
Additional Details about role:
• This role is very visible to executive management (CFO, Head of Risk, Head of Data Governance, Head of Chief Data Office)
• This role will work across multiple lines of business and engage with business heads and their leads
• This role responsibilities are fluid as this is a brand new area that Global Consumer Bank is standing up, day-to-day activities will change
