The Network Engineer for Global Network Engineering will report to the Delivery Manager of GNE and will be accountable for the delivery of campus and/or data center network projects throughout client locations for specific regions. The key outcomes of this role are: Efficient and timely delivery of cost efficient network engineering solutions and projects Effective collaboration between Solutions Engineering and Network Operations engineers as projects progress to ensure key standards and objectives are being met Successful ownership of projects through the transition to Network Operations

2. Skills, qualifications and experience: ? In order to be effective in this role you will need to have the following skills and experience: ? Install and configure data network environments including: branches, private cloud, 3rd party connectivity and public cloud ? Install, configure, and support Cisco Wireless, LAN and WAN infrastructure including Nexus platforms ? Install, configure, and support F5 LTM and GTM load-balancers ? Install, configure, and support Checkpoint and Fortinet security appliances ? Produce thorough and detailed documentation for installed environments ? Ability to understand, comply, and contribute to documented network standards ? Experience of achieving consensus through facilitating a collaborative planning process ? Ability to identify opportunities for improvement, to effectively summarize issues, bottlenecks and challenges and provide considered and logical recommendations for addressing them ? Experience of working in an environment with multiple handoffs and team interactions
3. Qualifications ? Expert understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies ? Experience with Cisco wireless ? Experience with F5 LTM and GTM ? Experience with Checkpoint and/or Fortinet security appliances ? Experience working in an environment with multiple handoffs and team interactions ? CCNP route/switch required ? CCIE route/switch preferred |
