Title: Technical Writer/Business Analyst
Duration: 3-6 months contract
Location: New Hartford, NY
Minimum Experience:
At least five years' experience in technical writing, specializing in standard operating procedures.
Knowledge:
Technical writing conventions and methodology.
Description:
•Command of workflow processes.
•Must know Microsoft Visio and demonstrate expertise.
•Aid in creating customer-focused documentation for software solutions.
•Develop detailed user stories and profiles.
•Evaluate business, technical, and functional requirements – Background in developing requirements and product specifications for new or existing applications.
•Comprehensive knowledge of documentation.
•5+ years of related experience.
•Responsible for the development of reports.
Position Requirements:
•Provide writing/editing support.
•Revise or create procedures from documentation provided by the lines of business.
•Partner with Subject Matter Experts to ensure that procedures accurately reflect current processes established within each department.
•Maintain online repository, posting new/updated procedures as needed.
•Archive master files and iterative versions for record retention purposes.
•Balance conflicting demands to support expected work as well as urgent requests.
•Complete routine administration, including attending meetings (whether internal or client), fulfilling training requirements, and reporting to management or clients as requested.
•Complete special assignments and projects as needed.
