Summary:
The main function of a non-IT program manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.

Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.
Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
Direct, review and approve product designs and changes.
Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.

Skills:
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
PMI or PMP certification preferred.
7-10+ years experience required.

Typical Day in the Role
Key projects The team provides insights and consumption excellence they use data to look for insights as well as make guides, programs, and recommendations that are rolled out across the field to impact ARC and usage throughout many customer success teams.
This contractor will be a business manager for the team's leader they will work with the leadership team to align programs, make sure the leaders is meeting deadlines, help manage his diary and meetings, run Rhythm Of Business for the organization, write an end of day brief for leader, run a bi-weekly brief to discuss the leaders pending actions, make decisions and prep for upcoming weeks, plan meetings and strategy, remind of any pending actions, run leadership meetings and take notes, as well as ad hoc request for program work or similar support such as travel support.
They will also run the finance side of the team, owning budget and managing recruitment, PCM reconciliation, communications and marketing events like all hands calls and offsites.
This contractor will be working on a maximum of 3 programs at once and will not be working with very technical staff like developers very often.

Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm Look at communications and diary for the day, then prepare briefs for Leader, check actions for end of day, continue with meetings and program work and make final brief for the day or plan for the next week.
20-30% Meetings may be a program IR, all hands call, business manager calls, leadership team calls, 1:1 meetings
High interaction with the team, they will work closely with sponsor for a few months to ramp up, then continue to interact often with their peer group and message with leadership and the leader's executive assistant on daily basis.
