Ultrasound Sonographer
Job Summary:Talent Software Services is in search of an Ultrasound Sonographer for a Direct Placement position in Rochester, MN.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:- Autonomously performs complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures for patients of all ages under the supervision of qualified physicians for diagnosis treatment and prevention of disease.
- Diagnostic sonographers take the initiative to confirm the imaging orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Reviews patient history and supporting clinical data for medical necessity.
- Responsible for contacting the ordering physician if an inadequate reason for test is supplied.
- Sonographers utilize advanced knowledge to perform diagnostic procedures (inpatient and outpatient settings including portable and O.R. examinations) by producing assessing and evaluating ultrasound images and related data.
- Sonographers are required to exercise independent judgment in the interpretation and analysis of exams and provide a preliminary diagnosis of the technical findings to the physician.
Qualifications:- Must have an Associate's degree in a related field and a graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sonography program.
- Must be ARDMS registered or registry eligible in the areas of abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN) and vascular technology (RVT).
- This position is within our General and Vascular Ultrasound practices and does not include Obstetric or Breast Ultrasound.
