Manager, Enterprise Architecture Continuum
Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Manager, Enterprise Architecture Continuum for a Direct Placement position in Rochester, NY.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:- The Manager, of Enterprise Architecture Continuum is a key leader with overall responsibility for the development and maintenance of enterprise architectures, patterns, standards, methods, and practices across specific business and technology disciplines.
- This position provides overall coordination of the technology architecture work effort including Intake, triage, tracking, governance, documentation, repositories and coordination.
- The Manager is a strategic partner within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) and throughout the organization, working to manage a defined workflow that contributes to Architectural and Strategic integrity of the technology offerings.
- These architectures (both Enterprise/Solution) are required to meet specific business needs through a defined process utilizing approved guiding principles and target state architectures.
- The Governance aspect of this job is critical to ensure holistic approval and adherence to both strategy and standards that are essential to applying technology that efficiently and effectively meet business needs.
- Provides leadership to advance the strategic and architectural integrity of technology solutions.
- Contributes to the Target State Architecture Definition through the Enterprise Architecture strategy and practice.
- Develops and maintains discipline-based reference architecture definition, technology strategy & standards through the enterprise architecture practice.
- Develops and maintains discipline-based Business Architecture.
- Coordinate all intake, triage and gate management activities for the CTO Organization.
- Provides overall reporting and tracking of all projects and ongoing strategic initiatives throughout the CTO Organization.
- Manages a team of architectural and portfolio professionals; makes hiring decisions, facilitates performance management and compensation decisions.
- Leads the overall Governance activities for Technology Reviews, Strategy, Standards, and Solutions.
- Drives Technology Rationalization initiatives by reducing duplication and redundancy across technologies.
- Interfaces with Office of the CIO and Enterprise Project Management Office to ensure projects are properly scoped and delivered during Architecture phases.
- Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.
- Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.
- Conducts regular staff meetings to include timely distribution and education related to departmental and Ethics/Compliance information.
- Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
- Performs other functions as assigned by management
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. In lieu of degree, sixteen (16) years of cumulative experience required.
- Ten (10) years of related work experience; of which three (3) years of experience demonstrated experience leading teams and/or managing major architectural practices.
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop people to enhance the organization and its technology portfolio.
- Extensive knowledge in technology systems, practices and architectural techniques.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to present clear and concise information throughout the organization.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to complete work in a traditional office environment under fluorescent lighting.
- Must be able to function while sitting at a desk viewing a computer and using a keyboard and mouse for 3 or more hours at a time.
- Must be able to travel across the enterprise.
- Ability to work in a home office for continuous periods of time for business continuity.
