​​About the Role:

The Benefits Specialist is an integral part of H&H’s Total Rewards team. You will be responsible for assisting with managing and administering the company's employee benefits programs and managing the day-to-day leave administration. You will have an in-depth knowledge of benefits and the federal and state laws governing them. You will need to know how to sort out issues, like coordinating an employee’s leave per the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) or changing contributions in a 401(k) account. You will be the go-to person for both new hires and long-standing employees looking to make the most out of the extensive benefits package we offer.

You Will:

  • Assists the Benefits Manager with implementing, communicating, and complying with all retirement, health, dental, COBRA, life and disability, and voluntary benefit programs.
  • Coordinate the health insurance open enrollment process.
  • Assists in the management of Leave administration, including military leave, short and long-term disability and FMLA claims, including staying abreast of individual state leave programs and communicating with employees
  • Assists in the management of Workers Compensation/ADA requests, including monitoring work comp claims reporting, record keeping, employee return to work status
  • Maintains Evidence of Insurability process and records all employee life events and new hires enrollments.
  • Assists with 401(k) plan administration.
  • Oversee day to day email queries.
  • Oversees all benefit communications internally
  • Supports all regulatory compliance and reporting requirements, to include 5500, ACA, nondiscrimination testing, Safe Harbor, and Medicare Part D notices, OSHA, etc.
  • Run reports and conduct data analysis.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of Benefits related experience 
  • Experience with employee benefits, regulatory compliance, workers compensation and employment laws
  • Research and analytical skills
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in the use of a spreadsheet (MS Excel and Google), word processing (MS Word and Google). Advanced Excel Skills preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • System and data flow knowledge required
  • Demonstrated ability to complete with discretion and confidentiality

Outlined below is a reasonable estimate of H&H’s compensation range for this role for US-based candidates. If you're based outside of the US, your recruiter will be able to provide you with an estimated salary range for your location.

The actual amount will take into account a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and location. H&H also offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package that may include an equity grant.

An estimate of the current salary range for US-based employees is
$80,000$105,000 USD
