Agency statement: We are currently resourcing this role through our internal Talent Acquisition Team so we do not require agency support at this time. We will utilise our supplier partners on our PSL only when we need to.

Working pattern: 07.30 – 16.00

The Recruitment process: Interviews will be face to face at our site in Burton Latimer.

The recipe!

The day-based multiskilled engineer has a primary focus on carrying out proactive maintenance activities to ensure the continuous improvement and upkeep of equipment assets at both the Burton Latimer and Corby sites. Occasionally, you might be called upon to deliver exceptional support for reactive engineering challenges within the plant.

    

  • To carry out planned maintenance and shutdown activities on plant across sites at Burton Latimer and Corby. Activities such as, but not exclusively, servicing, repairs, overhauls and condition-based monitoring.
  • To work to company practices, procedures and rules to ensure health & safety, food safety and legal compliance are upheld at all times.
  • Supervise external contractors providing additional support for PM activities (such as OEM services). Ensure company practices, procedures and rules are understood and adhered to.
  • To have familiarity with and the ability to work on a wide variety of engineering assets.
  • To perform proactive maintenance tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Report and escalate all equipment issues identified during PM activities to appropriate functions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability of assets and engineering working processes.
  • Support improvements projects, identifying engineering root causes and carry out CI project work actions.
  • Effective use of the CMMS (computerised Maintenance Management System) to log and review work carried out.
  • Provide training and support for the transfer of basic engineering to operator tasks.

Requirements

The Key ingredients for success!

Qualifications are not always the 'be-all and end-all' and we really value your wealth of experience, however for some roles that are governed by legislation we will ask for specific qualifications and achievements. We will ask for evidence of these during the process.

Non-negotiables:

  • Engineering Qualification or apprenticeship (HNC or above preferred)
  • Demonstrable mechanical and electrical competence through training and experience.
  • Good IT skills to include use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Good time management and ability to make timely decisions
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team

We also ask that you have;

  • Alignment to Weetabix values
  • Always curious to finding new ways to do business!
  • Ability to demonstrate how you keep up to date in your field of expertise.

Nice to haves:

  • Engineering experience in a food manufacturing environment.
