Job Description:
Financial client looking for a Senior Application DBA with expertise in PL/SQL Development to work on a Risk Aggregation platform providing a global view of all market risk of the firm. Loads exceeding 4 billion rows a day from 30 plus systems feed a 200TB Oracle database.

Job Duties:

Perform the architectural review of current state and provide a road map and implementation plan for the next generation architecture.
Analyze and enumerating possible architectures and the evaluation of the future state.
Redesign the ETL workflow of the risk fact table to achieve a performance improvement
Improving data extraction rates on the new Linux platform.
Design and develop the event driven automation of Data Readiness.
Extend the readiness functionality with JMS messaging from within the database.
Partitioning strategy and development of all database housekeeping facilities. Including creating, compressing and dropping partitions, data retention, and maintenance of statistics.

Required Skills/Background:

8+ years of Application DBA experience (5+ of it in the financial industry)
Market Risk environment experience
Oracle RAC
PL/SQL programming expertise
Some Data warehousing experience is required
- ETL/ELT/EDLT
- Data Modeling
- Partitioning
- Indexing
Oracle Advanced Analytics
Ability to analyze and improve queries
Data Partitioning
Oracle Data Dictionary
Worked on Data Quality Control/Data Lineage
