Summary Description:
This position creates and executes design and production for layout, art work, photography, illustration and printing as needed for publications, marketing communications, employee and public relations, health promotion, advertising, and interdepartmental graphics support. The incumbent possesses technical knowledge and ability to produce quality projects on a timely basis. The incumbent works as a team player that is able to take a project from start to finish.

Essential Resource Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Level I
Provides creative services and graphic support to the entire corporation for printed materials, signage, displays and other creative projects.
Provides art direction, design and layout of communication materials and programs. Ensures accurate and timely completion of all communications projects from conceptual, to mechanical, to press checks.
Works with oversight from creative services' management and senior staff.
Assists with monitoring and reviewing Corporate Compliance with the National Client Client service mark regulations and guidelines.
Responsible for the proper use of service marks with the appropriate taglines as required by the Client Client Association.
Assists other departments as necessary with Creative Services related projects.
Supports corporate branding strategy by ensuring all projects adhere to branding guidelines.
Collaborates and/or assists creative services management and staff on design elements, layout and coordination of outside sources of material and talent (eg. paper, talent, etc).
Provides tracking and on-going maintenance for the following: Creative Services job logs, cost savings data analysis, printed sample files, job bags-storage.
Drives continual improvement in creative quality and stays abreast on current trends, strategies and technologies.
Assists in creating an agency-like environment that is both creative and productive.
Produces creative work; meeting all deadlines and specifications.

Level II - in addition to Level I essential responsibilities/accountabilities:
Acts as a liaison between IT and outside vendors for technical and troubleshooting support on Mac systems.
Handles more complex and advanced design projects.
Mentors, advises and trains Level I in responsibilities listed above.
Reviews work of Level I and makes recommendations and edits.
Requires extensive knowledge of working with mechanicals and production/print specs for various types of materials.

Minimum Resource Qualifications:
Level I
Associates degree in graphic design or related field with a minimum of two years experience in a design/advertising field is required.
Possesses a working knowledge of design technologies such as Adobe Creative Suite for Macintosh computer system including Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Multimedia design, Powerpoint and animation experience/knowledge a plus.
Understands new software/upgrades for MAC systems to ensure an efficient and productive working environment.
Outstanding creative skills.
Must have attention to detail.
Requires ability to work independently with clients.
Must have strong PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Must be capable of working under pressure to meet tight and demanding deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Must have ability to coordinate and handle multiple tasks.
Requires positive attitude with enthusiasm to move the department and organization forward.

Level II - in addition to Level I minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field with a minimum of five years experience in a design/advertising field is required. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of ten years experience in a design/advertising field is required.
Must have a thorough knowledge of mechanicals, printing capabilities and processes including paper specifications.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. •
