Proven knowledge of established IEEE Ethernet, IEEE 802.3 / 802.11 standards and interoperability issues with Spanning Tree Protocol, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP is a must.
Install, configure, deploy, monitor, tune and troubleshoot all networking components.
Advanced understanding of cisco ASA firewalls, and switches.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel as part of a cross-functional team
Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Experience with current best practices in IT standards (ITIL), principles, and security practices
Strong project management skills
System administrator-level technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory
Demonstrated experience with designing high-available networks, including both system and component level redundancy and the associated technologies to accomplish HA.
Demonstrated experience working with virtualization technologies
Demonstrated experience in the following areas: vulnerability assessment methodology, penetration testing methodology, computer security design and implementation.
Skills:
Industry certifications (CCNA/CCNP) for network, design and implementation or equivalent professional experience is desirable.
Ability to remain flexible and adapt within a changing environment
Vendor management experience
Ability to work well under pressure
Experience working within bio-pharmaceutical or other centralized organizational environments
Content / Load balancing, Strong Network Security, as well as network management software experience
Experience in a pharmaceutical GxP manufacturing or compliance environment preferred
Working Knowledge of GxP preferred
Education:Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Minimum of 8+ years experience
Demonstrated technical network experience in a large Cisco LAN/WAN environment.
Minimum of 8 years of network-related project management experience
