- Location: US West Coast territory, California and a few other states, so the travel would be more “regional”. If you wanted to live in the Los Angeles area, you would have less overnight travel, as we do so much business in the LA area.
- After a longer training in Germany, you will move to the US or Canada,

Tasks that will routinely be performed include Installation, Demonstration, New Product Support, Customer Training, and Supporting our Sales Team. It requires an individual who is flexible and capable of dealing with sudden changes in priorities and the clients' schedule.
A Sausage Maker Craftsman/Meat Scientist with our client has the responsibility first and foremost of ensuring that our Customers and their business are being properly supported.
- In this position you can expect high travel away from home (Domestic and some International).
- Tasks that will routinely be performed include Installation, Demonstration, New Product Support, Customer Training, and Supporting our Sales Team. It requires an individual who is flexible and capable of dealing with sudden changes in priorities and the clients schedule.
Requirements
- Certificate, degree or four year College education in Meat Science / Sausage making. Master Butcher certification highly desired.
- Experience in the Meat & Sausage Making Industry equating to a minimum of 10 years working experience.
- Some Supervisory experience is required with demonstratable managerial responsibilities a plus.
- Prior experience working at large plants making protein products such as sausage, hams, salamis, poultry or turkey products
- Previous experience working with a meat machinery supplier or other similar equipment.
- Bi-Lingual in German and English desired
Responsibilities
Assist in the determination of the correct machine applications to automate our customers manufacturing lines.
- Travel to customer locations and install/demonstrate to the customers satisfaction the equipment that has been delivered.
- Educate the customer in proper process and techniques of making processed meats.
- Educate fellow employees in sausage making techniques.
- Advise and coordinate with our german subsidiary all observations regarding their equipment and usage in the US marketplace.
- Become the Product Line “go to” expert for all Sausage making equipment and applications sold by us
Introduce current and new product offerings from a Germany food processing into the US Sausage Making Industry.
- Identify other applications for the equipment within the US marketplace. Example; Fish Industry, Ice cream, other…
- Assist and coordinate other projects where your background and expertise lends itself.
