Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

As a Telemetry RN, you will play a vital role in monitoring and providing specialized care to patients with medical-surgical and telemetry needs. Your expertise in telemetry and oncology nursing, along with your commitment to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care, will contribute to the well-being and positive outcomes of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and comprehensive care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring, including those with medical-surgical and oncology needs.
- Monitor and interpret patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs, promptly identifying any changes or abnormalities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that address patients' medical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
- Administer medications and treatments, ensuring accurate dosages and timely administration.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and medications, promoting informed decision-making and self-care.
- Implement nursing interventions to manage pain, promote comfort, and address patients' physical and emotional well-being.
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic patient environment, following infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Perform comprehensive assessments to identify patients' needs and potential complications, taking appropriate actions to prevent adverse outcomes.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that patients' preferences and concerns are considered in the care planning process.
- Support patients and families in coping with the challenges of medical-surgical and oncology diagnoses and treatments.
Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of OR.
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Tele and oncology nursing experience is required.
- Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and telemetry monitoring.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while providing quality patient care.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation systems.
- Compassionate, patient-centered, and empathetic approach to care.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts during daytime hours (12N).
- Willingness to float to different Med/Surg Tele units within the facility.
