Financial Planning & Analysis Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Financial Planning & Analysis Associate to join our finance department. The FP&A Associate will assist with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic analysis and understanding of Aethon’s macroeconomic, financial and operating environments. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, interim re-forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
• Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects.
• Prepare ongoing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports of results for internal Management and external investor reviews
• Analyze and verify financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis.
• Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making.
• Take initiative to continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, public auditing, or a similar role.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SQL, Power BI, and OneStream a plus.
