As a Manager, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day execution of small and mid-sized influencer programs for a major retail company, in addition to supporting large scale programs. You will work with a team of experts on influencer sourcing, program development, and program execution of cross-platform influencer brand integrations. You will support specialized areas of expertise, including digital, social, creative, and paid media. The successful Manager will drive best-in-class work for our clients in today’s complex media landscape.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to creation of integrated Influencer Marketing plans to meet client objectives; demonstrates tactical and strategic knowledge of integrated principles and skills
- Manages multiple projects for multiple clients from concept to completion by anticipating challenges, troubleshooting problems, proposing solutions, offering client counsel, overseeing quality, and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
- Demonstrates the ability to write, edit and proofread to create high quality internal and external, channel-appropriate influencer content; contributes to client correspondence (e.g., daily updates, activity reports, wrap reports in a timely manner and proactively, etc.)
- Application of key client information, including general business strategy, industry trends and issues, products/services, key opinion leaders, customers and competitors
- Demonstrates practical understanding of visual communications, desktop multimedia, social media and the digital landscape and how to incorporate these into client programs; plays key role in developing key messages in keeping with clients’ objectives
- Communicates effectively with team members
- Manages vendors to ensure budget adherence and value of services purchased
- Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot client budget issues and to facilitate discussions between client and agency billing departments
- Assists project managers on tracking and monitoring financials (e.g., budget vs. actual)
- Helps coach, mentor and motivate junior staff to produce quality work and challenge them by providing growth opportunities
- Demonstrates effective supervisory and effective task delegation abilities by setting clear expectations and deadlines, providing needed resources, monitoring progress and quality and providing feedback
- Strong communicator that can develop complex strategy and creative presentations to lead and present to key stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience working directly with influencers, in influencer marketing, talent management and/or at a comparable agency
- BS/BA in related discipline
- Passionate about the role influencers can play in an integrated marketing plan
- Deep knowledge, experience and creative expertise in influencer management
- Ability to lead all steps of the influencer programming process (i.e. identifying influencers, vetting influencers, drafting offer letters, negotiations, review process, program execution and wrap reports)
- Proven record of leading and managing multiple influencer projects simultaneously - projects would include micro-influencer up through top tier talent.
- Strong communicator that can develop complex strategy and creative presentations to lead and present to key stakeholders
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
- Proven ability with strong writing, as well as the ability to interact with clients professionally and maintain relationships with influencers, agents and managers
- Ability to lead talent negotiations with talent agents
- Experience working with multiple tiers of influencers and leading programs across multiple digital channels
- Knowledge of best practices for all top social media platforms and FTC guidelines
- Knows how to collaborate with an integrated team with varied skillsets and demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit
- Thrives in a fast-paced work environment with the ability to work effectively across a specific set of accounts by prioritizing tasks and completing multiple items under deadline
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Communication should demonstrate forward-thinking program needs
- Strong understanding of metrics, ability to gather/build metrics decks, and basic knowledge of additional measurement tactics to demonstrate success of programming. Good analytical skills in both understanding marketer objectives and analyzing campaign performance
- Demonstrates ability to help develop strategic influencer programming and plans, implement integrated tactics and impart knowledge to account teams and clients
- Ability to lead small to mid-sized accounts with limited senior oversight, inclusive of client communications and management. Serves as client lead when appropriate
- Proficient at keeping a pulse on culture and what is relevant and sharing that information with internal teams and clients
- Ability to feed into New Business work with limited oversight
