With healthcare taking center stage across the world, are you looking to help shape the most pressing health policy issues facing our society today and in the future? Eager to design and execute data-driven public affairs strategies and issue campaigns on behalf of some of the world’s most successful health organizations? Are you passionate about shaping some of the biggest health policy debates in the country and influencing outcomes?
We’re looking for an Analyst to join EGA’s Health team doing some of the most exciting work Edelman has to offer. Our work spans across health policy and health industries globally (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, and MedTech, hospitals, and health services), and government and public affairs as it relates to these industries.
Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day account management and serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing issues thoughtfully and effectively
- Write in multiple voices and produce clear, persuasive, original content for executives, including social media posts, internal communications, and speeches
- Support strategy for quarterly or annual communications plans, content strategies, etc.
- Closely track global health policy and industry trends
- Demonstrate tactical proficiency in public affairs and policy
- Manage multiple projects from concept to completion by anticipating challenges, troubleshooting problems, proposing solutions, offering client counsel, overseeing quality, and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
- Build relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client needs
- Contribute to business growth by introducing clients to new capabilities, building a network of industry contacts, and participating in relevant professional organizations
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values (Quality, Integrity, Respect, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Mutual Benefits) and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in health policy or public affairs.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience at a public affairs or government affairs firm or organization engaged on policy and public affairs issues with a focus or interest in the healthcare space
- Superior ability to write and edit documents, content, and presentations to ensure clarity, persuasion, and polish
- An insatiable curiosity and an always-positive attitude
- A willingness to work hard, oftentimes during “off business hours” due to the international nature of the work
- Excellent client and interpersonal skills; ability to manage independent client relationships and communicate effectively by phone, email, and in-person
- Digital fluency and an understanding on how we can leverage digital functions to advance clients’ objectives
- Strong acumen with Excel and PowerPoint, able to manage large budgets and staffing projections and to project ideas simply through presentations
- Works well in a team-based collaborative environment that focuses on outcomes, not process
