Compensation - $90K to $110K a year

YOUR ROLE
This role is on the Long Term Care (LTC) Model Development team with primary responsibilities related to maintaining and improving liability and asset actuarial models in GGY AXIS. In this role, you will make model improvements, create ad-hoc models, model sensitivity scenarios, calculate LRT margins and perform stepwise margin impacts. Actuarial skills will be used and further developed in order to analyze projection results and make recommendations for models improvements.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities for this position are:

• Build, test, maintain and improve multi-purpose liability and asset models in GGY AXIS
• Research product features, assumptions, and reporting requirements while collaborating with Projections, Valuation, IT, Experience, Investment and Asset teams to achieve modeling objectives
• Create, maintain, and improve model documentation for liability and asset models
• Analyze and communicate Projection and ALM results
• Provide Projections and ALM production support as needed

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a team player with strong technical skills who works well with others in a professional environment. The following skills and qualifications are required.

• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics
• 3+ years of experience in the actuarial field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities in an organized manner
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Additional preferred experience and skills are:

• Experience using GGY AXIS or similar actuarial modeling software
• Knowledge of Valuation, Modeling, Projections or Experience actuarial processes
• Programming experience: Visual Basic, SQL, SAS, MATLAB
• Exposure to GAAP, Statutory and Tax financial reporting requirements
