The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for developing and executing captivating social media content across various platforms to expand Cirque du Soleil’s global footprint at high speed. Reporting to the Social Media Manager, the Content Creator will work in close collaboration with the social media team and show teams balancing content from creative ideation and execution and channel strategy planning. The Content Creator will act as a social media creative ambassador at Cirque du Soleil. The ideal candidate will be ultra social media savvy, have experience in creating and editing high-quality short-form content, and possess a deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok trends and best practices.
The Social Media Content Creator will have the opportunity to:
· Create and edit high-quality short-form content for social platforms;
· Act as a springboard for creation and provide guidance early on regarding how it will be expressed on different platforms;
· Shoot content using an iPhone and potentially other professional camera equipment;
· Execute tasks promptly to meet deadlines and project requirements;
· Edit and refine content to meet quality standards, visually appealing, and optimized for social media platforms;
· Identify daily, quick-turnaround reactive opportunities — throw ideas and see what sticks;
· Be an integral part of brainstorming for larger campaigns and participate in collaborative moments (brainstorming, workshops) for stakeholders to ensure campaigns have social first content;
· Assist influencers and brands to create social focused content highlighting CdS on their channels;
· Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices on Instagram and TikTok to enhance content creation and optimization.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
· 3+ years experience creating high-performing socialcontent;
· Experience developing content from ground up - ideation to the final cut;
· Demonstrated experience in creating and editing high-quality short-form content for social media platforms;
· Highly skilled in ideation and pitching ideas;
· Deep understanding of social media and the nuances between platforms;
· Proficient in shooting content using an iPhone, familiarity with professional camera equipment is a plus;
· Strong video editing skills and proficiency in editing software/tools;
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
· Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a car;
· Previous experience in TikTok or other vertical content production preferred;
· Experience in live-entertainment or global entertainment is preferred;
· Impeccable English verbal and writing skills;
· Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills;
· Verification of the right to work in the United States for Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one’s identity and work authorization.
