Role: Sr. Salesforce Developer

Description: As a Senior Software Engineer in QA at Blackthorn, you will be part of an elite team, testing solutions that solve our most critical business priorities. Other companies may refer to this position as Software Developer in Test (SDET). This hands-on engineer position bridges the gap between development and QA and brings our test automation to the next level. You will work closely with various departments to understand our customers' most pressing needs and provide technical expertise to optimize our testing automation, prevent issues, and ensure we deliver high-quality products.

Base Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 USD

What you'll do

Build and maintain well-designed and sustainable test architecture
Create, refactor, run, upgrade, and repair automation suites
Build and maintain continuous performance testing plans and suites
Create and maintain test automation integration throughout the software development lifecycle
Collaborate closely with cross-functional scrum teams and across the larger company
Provide detailed follow-up across departments on what to expect from our products including performance baselines
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimating, prioritizing, planning, coordinating and performing quality testing activities and providing feedback to product and development teams
Demonstrate best practices in everything you do, including meaningful test coverage and striving to ensure maintainability

What we look for

Technical Requirements

5+ years experience creating, updating and building test automation, Continuous Testing, and applying test automation frameworks
3+ years of experience working in a web application development environment
2+ years of experience testing in or against the Salesforce platform
Advanced experience with one or more programming languages (Python, Javascript)
Experience integrating automation test code into CI/CD processes required
Experience creating, executing, and maintaining non-functional test automation such as performance, security, and accessibility testing required
Experience with test automation, test management, api testing and performance testing tools required
Experience maintaining deployable data under version control a plus
Experience with payment processing integrations and mobile applications a plus
Experience with github actions a plus
Experience with AWS, Node.js, Java, Apex, Typescript, or SQL a plus
