Procurement Buyer

• Process requests to purchase goods and services in accordance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Prepare bid documentation for procurement of materials and services.
• Post bids on public bidding sites.
• Review, analyze, and tabulate bids received and forward them to the initiating department for recommendation as to award.
• Prepare appropriate approval documentation for the award.
• Assure that purchase orders and contract files are properly documented and that they are complete.
• Provide vacation and absence coverage for MBTA Mailroom.
• Perform all other duties and projects that may be assigned.
