We are seeking a strong IT sourcing manager. In this role, you will be responsible for initiating and managing internal IT Stakeholder relationships. You will work with key IT stakeholders to develop a comprehensive technology supply chain strategy for the university system. This can include sourcing, procurement opportunities, contract negotiations to reduce Total Cost of Ownership, Supplier rationalization and improvement, Innovation, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE - Advises leadership and assesses their current and future business sourcing needs, and expectations.
- Review client spend levels, build spend cubes, and prioritize opportunities based on cost/ benefits analysis and stakeholder engagement.
- Senior level subject matter expert. Works independently to develop procurement sourcing and negotiation strategies for assigned large dollar value commodities or assigned large business clients.
- Develop and manage requests for proposals (RFPs and RFQs), and other information needs including the collection of requirements, management of bidder communications, and the analyzing of bid responses, commonly in the labor category
- Negotiate complex sourcing events (including SaaS agreements) to obtain the highest value in the commodities and services purchased.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to reduce TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), cycle time, and improve quality of sourced products and services
- Negotiate and draft enterprise wide agreements that minimize financials and business risk exposure and provide optimal terms and conditions
- Own and deliver savings goals and targets from planning and inception through realization of benefits
- Quantify the baseline value of goods and services being sourced, the value of negotiations, and the financial change in cost of ownership
- Manage and develop internal relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout various business units
- Manage ongoing outsourcing contracts including involvement in client status meetings and contract performance measurement
- Uses e-Procurement and e-sourcing tools and incorporates Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) concepts to drive sourcing projects.
- Ensures that metrics and reporting are included in all contracts including cost savings, lost savings, and areas of contract non-compliance to improve knowledge for future negotiations.
- Provide current savings and ROI to business clients.
- Performs other duties as required.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS - Bachelors Degree (MBA Preferred)
- Consulting experience, preferably with the Big Four
- Experience in indirect categories, to include labor
- CPM/CPSM or similar certification preferred
- 7-10 years of IT sourcing experience
