Reports to: Chief Executive Officer, Common House
Supervises: All Growth Verticals
Location: Hybrid (Minimum 50% Travel) – Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; New Orleans, LA; Charlotte, NC

Position Summary

The Vice President of Growth (VPG) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the strategic revenue growth plan for Common House. This leader will oversee all growth verticals, ensuring that teams perform at the highest level to exceed organizational sales and growth targets. The VPG will drive innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence to propel Common House’s expansion and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Management

  • Develop and oversee strategic sales plans across all revenue-generating verticals, ensuring alignment with lead generation and conversion goals.
  • Lead and participate in sales calls with team members to enhance selling efforts and optimize performance.
  • Establish and manage sales forecasting, aligning targets with organizational growth objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis to assess trends, competitive positioning, and customer behavior, adjusting sales strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with key departments—Membership, Private Events, Programming, Food & Beverage, and Site Leadership—to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
  • Guide sales strategies for new and developing properties, ensuring successful market entry and sustained growth.

Product Development

  • Lead the continuous evolution of revenue verticals, including Membership, Private Events, Restaurant, Programming, and Ancillary Services.
  • Develop a deep understanding of all Common House offerings to ensure they remain competitive and aligned with member and industry trends.
  • Anticipate shifts in the hospitality and private club sectors, adapting strategies ahead of competitors.
  • Define and uphold the brand identity for both internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong partnerships.

Team Management

  • Oversee employee experience programs within growth verticals, focusing on recognition, onboarding, and professional development.
  • Ensure training programs are comprehensive, up-to-date, and tailored to the needs of members, guests, employees, and partners.
  • Mentor and develop leaders across the organization, fostering a culture of engagement and excellence.

Pre-Opening & Expansion

  • Conduct revenue and product analysis to support the Expansion team in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Develop pre-opening budgets and long-term financial plans, aligning with ownership’s growth objectives.
  • Create revenue and sales strategies for new locations, collaborating with all departments to meet financial targets.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for all new opening positions, ensuring high-caliber talent acquisition.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Advanced sales expertise with a strong track record in managing sales and marketing budgets, sales planning, and forecasting.
  • Proven thought leader in business scaling and people management.
  • Experience managing multi-unit operations.

Preferred:

  • Experience in private clubs.
  • Start-up experience.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and business development.

Work Environment

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, requiring a minimum of 50% travel to support existing and new locations. Candidates based in Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; New Orleans, LA; or Charlotte, NC are preferred.
