Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Director of Operations, Common House No. 2

The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including but not limited to:

• plumbing
• electrical
• basic carpentry
• heating and cooling
• painting
• and other building systems

Ultimately, this role will be responsible for the upkeep of all facilities with the goals of creating a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment for all members.

We are looking for a problem-solver and self-starter who has experience and proficient knowledge of construction/contractor-related work. The ideal candidate for this role will be a true member of the Common House team, and therefore we expect them to be prompt, communicative, friendly with both members and staff alike.

This is a full-time position that requires a minimum commitment 30+ hours of work a week. Beyond that, we are looking for someone with the flexibility and ability to respond and/or be on-site promptly, Monday-Sunday for additional hours and to provide attention to maintenance concerns as needed.
