SPA MANAGER, SERENITY SPA, GIGIRI
Founded in 2013, Serenity Spa is Kenya’s leading Spa with branches in Gigiri, Kitisuru, Karen, and Tigoni. They offer holistic treatments to over 8000 clients and invest in their people through continuous innovation and training. Their goal is to lead the Spa industry both in Kenya and globally.
Serenity Spa requires a Spa Manager, who is a dynamic leader, passionate about people development and exceptional customer experiences.
Reports to: General Manager and Managing Director
Direct Reports: Front Office Associates, Therapists, Baristas, Hairdressers, Housekeeping and Grounds team.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
As Spa Manager, you will be crucial in team leadership, sales performance, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
We are looking for a manager with a firm yet fair approach, who has experience managing high-expectation individuals. The ideal candidate will be skilled at navigating the challenges of leading a team with strong personalities, maintaining a positive working relationship while effectively achieving their managerial goals. You'll need to demonstrate tact and ingenuity in getting the best out of your team, ensuring both productivity and harmony.
General Responsibilities:
Provide daily updates to the General Manager and Managing Director with potential resolves, proposals and progress notes.
Maintain data for team analysis to monitor staff journey (skills gaps, trainings, conduct, etc) to proactively ensure progress review.
Proactively communicate any changes, improvements on people issues or areas at the spa to relevant parties.
Report any opportunities of individual and branch growth to ensure continuous growth in branch sales.
Perform any other duties as requested by your line manager.
Key responsibilities include:
Team Leadership: Inspire and develop the team, manage staff schedules and ensure adherence to company policies.
Sales Performance: Enhance sales through strategic leadership, staff skill development and understanding branch targets.
Operational Efficiency: Maintain high service standards, manage equipment and oversee facility upkeep.
Customer Satisfaction: Drive exceptional service and handle client feedback to improve experiences.
Team Coordination: Collaboration among various teams and ensure smooth operations.
You must have previous experience directly managing at least 45 staff members
Experience in customer service.
Strong leadership, management and sales skills.
Professional and solution-oriented personality.
People and customer-centric, performance-driven and detail-oriented.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of team management experience in a service-related industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management.
- Experience with scheduling software is desirable.
