We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Business Development Manager to join a well-established, family-run SME. You will act as an Ambassador for the Company and will build a network of connections through networking, social media and referrals. You will build strong relationships with customers and be their contact for any feedback and/or queries.
You will be highly organised and love speaking to new and existing customers. You will be comfortable getting on the phone and going to visit new/existing customers.
This role is predominately selling goods into the FMCG/ Food manufacturing industry and covering Northampton and surrounding areas
Key duties and responsibilities.....
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
- Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
- Managing the pipeline and opportunities
- Deliver your own GP growth
- Loading visit notes on CRM
- Preparing notes for upcoming visits
- Completing quotes
- Follow up actions from previous meetings
Requirements
- Must have had some formal sales training
- Must have at least 2 years experience in new business development
- Good geographical understanding to plan travel
- Sold a similar product type such as ink, coatings, packaging etc
- Must be comfortable in a 360° role where you are booking meetings
Hours: 7am - 4:30pm (Mon-Fri)

Salary- £60,000- £75,000 basic
