Facilities Engineer and Project Manager

• Analyzes engineering proposals, process requirements, and related technical data pertaining to industrial machinery and equipment design.
• Determines feasibility of designing new plant equipment modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
• Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages, and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
• Directs the operation of the physical facility functions including equipment installations and service functions for the facility (includes safety and outside contractors).
• Plans, formulates and administers various engineering programs.
• Designs and facilitates capital projects within the facility.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
• Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.
• Oversees maintenance of facility and equipment.
• Performs equipment and project design.
• Plans and supervises project work.
• Provides manufacturing support to business centers.
• Performs cost estimating.
• Troubleshooting equipment.
• Initiates purchase for equipment and maintenance supplies.
• Reports on maintenance and engineering activities to management.

• 4 Year Degree Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering or Project Management
• This position requires a minimum of three years of related experience.
• A good understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic and their relationship to electrical control.
• Good mechanical aptitude (piping, layouts, structural, etc.) and blueprint reading capabilities.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
