Why this is your dream job:
As a Business Development Manager (Account Executive), you'll be in charge of vetting software products from all over the world. You will be acting as a VC when selling and closing potential partnerships that will equally significantly benefit the partner, our customers, and AppSumo. You will be managing the full sales cycle which includes:
- Prospecting and closing deals over phone, email, and video
- Negotiating and structuring complex deals
- Vetting leads to ensure that AppSumo maintains its high bar for products
- Encouraging long-term alliances with partners
- Informing potential partners on how to optimally launch on AppSumo
- Working closely with the BDA team to ensure the quality of bookings
- Creating plans and strategies for developing new opportunities and delivering on sales targets
- Developing and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders on target accounts
- Oversee the success of the campaign from start to finish. Including onboarding, integration, and implementation leading up to launch
- Using the CRM to accurately forecast opportunities and to regularly update and manage the pipeline
- Collaborating on campaigns, events and other activities in support of company goals
- Becoming an expert of the AppSumo marketplace and be able to articulate its value in a way that resonates with the unique nature of each prospect
- Cultivating and closing outbound or inbound leads. Accountable for managing their own full-cycle sales pipeline and may begin to develop a specialization in a region/territory, product, and/or lead type.
- Cosing sales leads and meeting demo & revenue quotas. Managing their own full-cycle sales pipeline.
Past experience:
- 3+years as an AE or similar role closing deals in the SaaS, PaaS, and/or enterprise software space
- SaaS, prospecting, cold calling, negotiation, closing, forecasting, proposals
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Booking platforms, and Project Management tools
- Proof of consistent achievement or overachievement of sales quota
- Experience prospecting, building and managing a sales pipeline, forecasting, and reporting
- Strong collaboration and relationship management skills
- A user-centric mentality with a passion for Entrepreneurship and Startups
- Driven and have consistently met/exceeded direct sales goals
