General Overview:
Provides support to the TRMI, Inc. Engineers in the Product Development Department.
Duties
· Engage in cross functional problem solving teams.
· Take measurements on parts for dimensions, voltage, etc.
· Perform tests on products including electrical, mechanical, and appearance criteria.
· Evaluate and interpret data with a multidepartment perspective and statistical analysis.
· Provide assistance by obtaining and reviewing automotive market research by segment.
· Create and revise reports for upper management and machine and component performance.
· Perform data entry into the databases.
· Create charts and graphs with information collected and input into the system.
· Engage in floor layout updates to assist with internal changes.
· Take measurements in plant areas to assure layout accuracy.
· Assist with other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Experience:
· Knowledge of principles of electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering.
· Computer literacy and ability to operate computer controlled machinery and equipment.
· Ability to understand and interpret blueprints, mechanical and electrical drawings, engineering designs and specifications, and operating instructions.
· Working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic assembly machinery and equipment
· Working knowledge of the principles and practices of manufacturing administration, including JIT manufacturing theory.
· Basic knowledge of time studies and line balancing.
· Basic knowledge of the principles and applications of statistical process control.
· Basic knowledge of quality standards in automotive manufacturing.
· Ability to prioritize multiple, competing work assignments.
