AutoCAD Designer

Responsible for creating schematics that exhibit the detail and method of assembly for a variety of machinery and mechanical devices.

Use computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create design elements.

• Develop detailed designs for mechanical equipment and controls.
• Provide details on component descriptions.
• Resolve design problems.
• Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery.
• Draft technical details.
• Draw in minute details of structures.
• Consult technical handbooks and tables while in drafting phase.
• Use Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems to prepare drawings.
• Create and store drawings electronically.
• Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications.

* Two Year college degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Technical or vactional training in drafting technology.

* Must have strong verbal, visual and written communication skills.

* Proficiency with a personal computer and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access) is required

* Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
