Job Description:
• The RTLS Coordinator will assist the Clinical Engineering team in the day-to-day operations and overall management of the Real-Time Locating System (RTLS) which uses RFID technology to locate equipment throughout the enterprise. The RTLS system is comprised of both infrastructure hardware (Centrak) and the real-time locating software (Infor LBI).
• The RTLS Coordinator must be extremely attentive to detail as the accuracy of the system is highly dependent on the data quality.
• The RTLS Coordinator will be responsible for:
o Changing RTLS tag pairings within the RTLS system (Infor LBI), adding tags to new equipment, removing tags from rentals and/or retired equipment, and working with vendor to troubleshoot faulty RTLS tags.
o Working in Biomedical Engineering database to confirm status of medical device when a tag is unpaired so system (Infor LBI) can be updated as appropriate.
o Monitoring system health of RTLS tags including rounding campus to assist with battery replacement for low battery and/or offline tags.
o Assisting in 1:1 education and trainings for Biomed, Facilities, EVS, clinical staff, Supply Chain and other stakeholders as needed.
o Performing regular RTLS tag audits to ensure all RTLS tags purchased are accounted for and no tag pairings are 'unknown.'
o Partnering with Centrak Contractor and CHOP Networking team to troubleshoot the offline networked infrastructure devices which may include going to data closets and using network tester.
o Partnering with Centrak to remove lost or offline RTLS tags from Centrak system.
o Partnering with external equipment managers to ensure proper processes are followed and data is being entered into RTLS system accurately.
o Documenting networked device attributes (i.e. port, jack, switch, closet).
o Attending RTLS Project meetings, RTLS Governance meetings and weekly meetings with both vendors.
o Monitoring RTLS intake queue within ServiceNow for configuration change requests and new tagging requests.
o Educating existing staff when errors or problems are discovered.
o Maintaining the company RTLS website with education material, in-scope devices for RTLS tagging, images of tag placement, etc.
o Attending Facilities Project Meetings and helping coordinate onsite activity for new installations and/or removal of RTLS infrastructure devices.
o Performing site surveys after new devices are installed / removed.
o Assisting with system configuration changes within RTLS system (Infor LBI) for new projects.
o Partnering with Centrak as needed, for minor installs and infrastructure device removals, ensuring all downstream changes are made and proper processes are followed by both RTLS vendors (Centrak and Infor LBI).
o Assisting with ongoing process improvement for the overall management and growth of the system.
o Retrieving quotes from both vendors for services and/or hardware and placing orders in the company's procurement system as needed.
o Provide RTLS Office Hours if requested for education and to answer questions.
• The RTLS Coordinator will be expected to shift work hours when needed to facilitate site surveys or battery replacements (off-hours are often a more opportune time to get into patient care areas to be more efficient).

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with networking preferred but not required
